Privacy Policy

Steamroller App ("the app", "we", "us") is a session tracker for tabletop wargames, built and maintained as an independent, non-commercial project. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it's used. Steamroller App is not affiliated with or endorsed by Steamforged Games.

No account required

Steamroller App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it. There is no login, no email collection, and no user profile stored on any server.

Data stored on your device

The games you set up and track - player and opponent names, armies, scenarios, scores, and results - are stored locally on your device only. This data is never uploaded to us or any third party, and we have no access to it. It's yours; if you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted.

Information collected automatically

The app uses the following Google Firebase services to help us understand app usage, fix bugs, and keep the app running smoothly. These services may collect device and usage information (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and general usage events) as described in Firebase's privacy and security documentation.

• Firebase Analytics - aggregate, anonymized usage events (e.g. which screens are viewed, which features are used, and non-identifying gameplay details such as the scenario played, armies/factions and leader names involved, game type, result, and turn count) to help us understand how the app is used.
• Firebase Crashlytics - crash and error reports so we can identify and fix bugs.
• Firebase Performance Monitoring - technical performance data (e.g. screen load times, network request duration) to help us keep the app fast.

None of these services are used to identify you personally. The player and opponent names you enter are never sent to analytics - only non-identifying gameplay details as described above. We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Children's privacy

Steamroller App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
